Hot Honey Chicken Biscuits for Summer Celebrations
From Carrie Morey's Hot Little Suppers cookbook
Ingredients
- • 1/2 tablespoon habanero flakes
- • 6 oz (1/2 cup) Carolina Honey
- • Buttermilk Biscuits
- • Fried Chicken
If your family is anything like mine, summertime means meals outside, savoring the sunlight and sitting next to the pool – or on the beach! Dining al fresco is one of my favorite parts of the warmer weather, and one of my favorite recipes to make from May to September is my Hot Honey Chicken Biscuits! They’re perfect for your summer celebrations from Memorial Day, to Father’s Day, or even the Fourth of July.
Crispy, tender fried chicken sandwiched between a fluffy buttermilk biscuit and drizzled with my homemade Hot Honey. This sandwich is a customer-favorite at Hot Little Biscuit here in Charleston, and here I am to share the recipe!
Using our award-winning Buttermilk Biscuit recipe, you can make the base from scratch along with your Hot Honey drizzle made from our delicious Carolina Honey. As for the chicken, I worked to perfect my personal recipe – found here as my Fried Chicken Sammies. Zhuzh up the meal and serve up a side of my Slaw for Everything to give this spicy slider a kick of coolness.
Don’t have the time to whip up everything homemade? Let our team of artisan bakers help! Along with our Carolina Honey, add a box or two of our handmade buttermilk biscuits. Pick up your favorite grocery store fried chicken or frozen chicken tenders and serve it all up as an easy dinner or appetizer option!
