Summer break is coming to an end, and back-to-school season is right around the corner. I love making these Blackberry Jam Biscuit Crumble Bars because they're easy to bake ahead, cut into squares, and keep on hand for busy mornings or an after-school sweet treat. They're delicious at room temperature, but I especially love serving them warm with a fresh cup of coffee or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert.
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Lightly grease a ceramic baking dish with melted butter.
- Prepare the Buttermilk Biscuit Mix according to the package directions. Wrap or cover the dough and refrigerate for 10–15 minutes.
- While the dough chills, prepare the crumble topping. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and cold butter. Use your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Set aside.
- Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll it out on a lightly floured surface until it's large enough to fit the bottom of your baking dish.
- Transfer the dough to the prepared baking dish and gently press it into the bottom.
- Spread an even layer of Callie's Blackberry Jam over the dough.
- Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the jam.
- Bake for 40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the biscuit crust is cooked.
- Let cool before slicing into bars.
