Whether hosting a holiday or a weekend get-together, nothing beats a Southern sideboard. I love to curate a beautiful display of bites and accoutrements that guests can graze on while they enjoy each others company.
This Easter Sunday, my family and I will get together for a buffet of bites before the traditional Easter food is set on the table. What's on the sideboard bites menu?
Glazed Ham Biscuits with Champagne Mustard, along with a slew of sides like soft-boiled eggs or my famous naughty eggs, fruit, cinnamon rolls, coffee and more.
Simply take our handmade biscuits – which are cake-like, not flakey! – and cut them into a sandwich. Add your own honeybaked or glazed ham to the center with a dollop of sweet and tangy champagne mustard. This mustard brings the sandwich to a new level of savory and I must admit... I am a little obsessed!
For an every day version, try it with our country ham for a salty and tangy sandwich!
Instructions:
- Combine dijon mustard whole grain mustard, chives, and fresh oregano.
- Whisk in dry champagne until full incorporated.
- Serve sandwiched in a handmade buttermilk biscuit with honey baked, glazed, or country ham.
