Whipped Feta & Hot Honey Dip

From Carrie Morey's Hot Little Suppers cookbook

Ingredients

  • 10.5oz fresh feta, and 1/4 cup feta brine
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • Zest of 1 lemon, Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 shallot, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped, plus more for garnish
  • Pistachios, for garnish
  • Hot Honey, for garnish
  • Whipped Feta & Hot Honey Dip

If you were to pop into my kitchen and open the refrigerator, chances are there will be a homemade dip inside. My family and I love to snack on a handmade dip made – never store bought – and I have loved sharing so many dip recipes with you over the years (I'll list them below!).

This whipped feta dip is full of bright flavor combinations! The lemon zest sings and pairs so wonderfully with the dill, while shallot provides a savory garlic touch! I drizzle the dip with hot honey at the end for an unexpected sweet and hot bite.

I'll be serving this dip all spring – whether it be on my Easter sideboard, paired with our artisan biscuit crackers while my husband watches The Masters Tournament, and it will definitely be thrown into our cooler for boat and beach days!

Pro Tip: If you have leftover biscuits handy, cut them in half sandwich-style and broil them in your oven. Serve hot with a smear of this whipped feta & hot honey dip!
