Pizza-Pull Apart Bread (2-ways)

Easy Recipe!

This is a super easy recipe that is perfect for weeknights or weekends. Easy to make with the family or without.

Have you ever wanted an appetizer or dinner that everyone at the table can agree on? This is it. Pizza Biscuit Pull-Apart Bread is cozy, fun, and perfect for the whole family. We made it two different ways, and honestly, I still can’t decide which one I love more. One version is made with our thawed buttermilk biscuits, and the other uses our classic biscuit dough, both delivering that warm, pizza-inspired comfort in every bite.

It has the perfect balance of soft dough and cheesy, savory toppings, and the best part is how customizable it is. Add your favorite sauces, cheeses, and toppings to make it exactly how your family likes it. Whether you’re serving it as an easy dinner, a game day snack, or a crowd-pleasing appetizer, this pull-apart bread is guaranteed to be a hit.

Ingredients (Biscuit Mix):

  • 2 bags of Buttermilk Biscuit Mix

  • 10 tbsp butter, divided

  • 1 to 1 ½ cup buttermilk

  • Pizza Sauce

  • Mozzarella pearls

  • Pepperoni slices

Instructions (Biscuit Mix):

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Prepare your bundt pan by greasing the sides and bottom with about 2 tbsp of butter.

  2. Add your Buttermilk Biscuit Mix to a large bowl and mix to combine. Add 8 tablespoons of salted butter and work it into the mix in a snapping motion with your fingers. Once your mix is the consistency of grated Parmesan cheese, make a well in the center.

  3. Add the buttermilk slowly and mix with your hands until the dough is fully combined. This dough should be slightly less wet and tacky compared to our usual biscuit dough. Be careful not to overwork the dough. If more liquid is needed to absorb the flour, add milk slowly.

  4. To form the dough balls, pinch off a small amount of dough and roll between your palms to form a sphere shape about 1 inch in size. Repeat this process until you have used all of your dough; it should yield between 40 to 50 dough balls.

  5. In your greased bundt pan, add enough dough balls to cover the bottom in the first layer. Next, pour over a generous amount of pizza sauce and layer in the mozzarella pearls and sliced pepperoni. Repeat the layering process until all dough balls have been used.

  6. Bake the pull-apart bread for 30 minutes. Once removed from the oven, carefully flip onto a serving platter or sheet tray. Enjoy!

Ingredients (Frozen Biscuits):

  • 12 Buttermilk Biscuits

  • Pizza Sauce

  • Pepperoni slices

Instructions (Frozen Biscuits):

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Prepare your bundt pan by greasing the sides and bottom with about 2 tbsp of butter.

  2. Thaw your Buttermilk Biscuits until able to slice through them. Cut the biscuits into quarters, yielding about 48 pieces of biscuit.

  3. In your greased bundt pan, add enough biscuit pieces to cover the bottom in the first layer. Next, pour over a generous amount of pizza sauce and layer in the mozzarella pearls and sliced pepperoni. Repeat the layering process until all dough balls have been used.

  4. Bake the pull-apart bread for 30 minutes. Once removed from the oven, carefully flip onto a serving platter or sheet tray. Enjoy!
