Morning Time Savers
- Time to go back to your routine! Here is how I save valuable time in the morning while keeping my family fueled for the day. - Carrie
Getting back into a routine post-holiday can be challenging. Here is how I save time in the morning and make sure my family is fueled for the day.
Crustless Quiche
I love starting the year with a packed lunch of crustless quiche. It is a great source of protein and vegetables – not to mention cutting the crust out makes it a bit healthier for those New Year's resolutions! If you prefer crust, try my Mama's Butter Pie Crust recipe.
Build a Breakfast Sandwich
When we first started our research on creating Sausage Biscuits, we wanted to make sure that they were the very best frozen breakfast sandwich on the market. They had to use the finest, highest quality ingredients and the perfect ratio of biscuit to patty. We are proud to say that this hot little sandwich won 2022's sofi award for Best Breakfast! While they are perfect on their own, we love adding a fried egg and pimento cheese on top!
Start Breakfast at Night
If you are looking for a real-time saver in the mornings, scoop up my overnight grits. These cook in the crockpot all night so all you have to do in the A.M. is add your favorite mix-ins and go! I recommend putting them in a Tupperware for your drive to the office and digging in with a cup of coffee at your desk!
Skip the Starbucks Line
I know, I know – sometimes coffee just tastes better when you don't have to make it yourself! BUT if you haven't given French press a try, I may be able to convince you otherwise. French press is a manual brewing process that brings out all of the flavors in your roast AND saves you from those wasteful coffee pods or drive-through lines. Our friends at King Bean Coffee Roasters share how to use a French press here with our Callie's Biscuit Blend dark roast.
